College Pro Painters was slapped with a fine on Sept 30 of $14,875 for an accident on June 16th. An employee of College Pro painters was burned. Under the citation obtained under the Freedom of Information Act, College Pro Painters failed to teach painters the dangers of burns and "did not ensure first aid supplies were easily accessible" at the job site.
The company has the right to contest the citation but the point here is $14,875.00 is a very expensive lesson to pay for not teaching your employees of known hazards and not having first aid supplies readily available.
Study after study show first aid supplies at your place of business and on job sites save money over time. A $14,875.00 fine would have paid for first aid supplies for the average customer for 14 years.
Give us a call and we can show you how to avoid these types of fines and protect your employees and your checking account.
