OSHA and Workers Compensation Cost

Employee injury is a large concern for employers today.  An injury on the job triggers two important financial considerations
1) OSHA and its record keeping regulations for injured workers
2) Workers Compensation (lost time and injury)
OSHA adjusted their record-keeping standard in 2002 so injuries that required only first aid are no longer recordable injuries.  This is great news for those business that have a first aid program in place.  When an injured worker is treated under an employers first aid program rarely is it needed for employee to file a workers compensation claim.
It is a good idea to have an out of pocket first aid program at your place of business to avoid OSHA record keeping regulations and to avoid higher cost of workers compensation cost.
